Privacy policy
Your résumé is personal.
We treat it that way.
Effective July 29, 2026
1. Information you provide
When you use the résumé builder, you may enter contact details, employment history, education, skills, and other résumé content. RapidCV stores your working draft and saved version history in your browser's local storage. This information is not automatically uploaded to a RapidCV database.
2. AI features
If you ask RapidCV to revise or optimize your résumé, the content needed to complete that request is sent through our Cloudflare-hosted service to OpenAI. This may include your current résumé, your instructions, and any résumé or job-description file you intentionally attach. These materials are used to return the requested result and are not stored by RapidCV as a user profile or résumé record.
If you use your own OpenAI API key, the key is passed through our service for that request and is not stored on our server. In your browser, the key is kept only in session storage for the current tab and is cleared when that tab closes. RapidCV does not intentionally persist API keys in local storage.
3. Technical information
Our hosting and security providers may process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, request time, and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot reliability. RapidCV also uses rate limits and a non-personal daily usage counter for hosted AI access.
4. Analytics
RapidCV uses Google Analytics on its public informational pages to understand aggregate site traffic and improve the product. Analytics is not loaded inside the résumé builder. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers and process information such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser details, referral source, and interaction timing. RapidCV does not intentionally send the contents of your résumé, uploaded documents, or API key to Google Analytics.
You can limit this collection through your browser's cookie and privacy controls or tools provided by Google.
5. Third-party services
RapidCV currently relies on Cloudflare for hosting and security, OpenAI for optional AI features, Google Analytics for usage measurement, and Google Fonts for typefaces. When your browser or an AI request connects to these services, their own privacy terms may apply.
6. Payments and tips
Optional tips are handled by Ko-fi and its connected payment processors. RapidCV does not directly collect or store your card details. Ko-fi's and the applicable payment processor's privacy terms govern the payment information you submit.
7. Data choices and deletion
You can remove locally stored résumé drafts and version history by using the controls in the app or clearing RapidCV site data in your browser. A personal API key can be cleared from the AI panel and is automatically removed when its browser tab closes. Files you export are saved wherever you choose on your device.
8. Children
RapidCV is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as RapidCV changes. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the latest version took effect.
10. Contact
