Terms of use

Simple terms for a
straightforward tool.

Effective July 29, 2026

RapidCV is currently free to use and provided as a self-funded project. By using the site, you agree to the terms below.

1. Using RapidCV

You may use RapidCV to create, edit, tailor, and export your own résumé or a résumé you are authorized to work on. You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these terms.

2. Free access and future changes

RapidCV is free to use for the time being. We may add, remove, limit, or charge for features in the future. Any paid offering will be presented clearly before you incur a charge; continued free access is not guaranteed.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the résumé content and files you provide. You give RapidCV only the limited permission needed to process that content and provide the features you request. You are responsible for having the right to use any content you submit.

4. Accuracy and AI-assisted content

AI suggestions may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing every suggestion and for the truthfulness, completeness, and legality of your final résumé. RapidCV does not guarantee interviews, employment, applicant-tracking-system performance, or any other hiring outcome.

5. Your API key

If you use your own OpenAI API key, you are responsible for securing it, complying with OpenAI's terms, and paying any charges associated with its use. Use a dedicated, restricted project key with a small spending limit and never enter a shared or unrestricted key. RapidCV keeps the key only for the current browser-tab session and does not store it on our server, but no browser-based credential workflow is risk-free. Clear the key when you finish, especially on a shared device. RapidCV is not responsible for charges arising from a key exposed through your device.

6. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, bypass rate limits or access controls, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, violate another person's rights, or use RapidCV for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive activity.

7. Intellectual property

RapidCV's name, branding, interface, design, and original software are owned by their respective creator and licensors. These terms do not grant you ownership of the service itself. Third-party software and services remain subject to their own licenses and terms.

8. Availability and termination

We may suspend, change, or discontinue any part of RapidCV at any time, including to protect the service or comply with law. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.

9. Disclaimer

RapidCV is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. It is a writing and formatting tool, not legal, career, recruiting, or professional advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RapidCV and its creator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost opportunities, lost data, or lost profits arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the current version. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
